Rockstar revealed the cover art and the pre-order date on June 18, 2026, published prices and editions on June 24, and opened pre-orders the next day, nearly five months before launch. Pre-orders are for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only; no PC version has been announced. Both editions unlock on November 19, and no edition offers early access. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick called pre-orders "unprecedented and astonishing" on the company's August 7 earnings call.
Every pre-order on either edition includes the Vintage Vice City Pack: a '55 Vapid Stanier with the Shore Court garage near Ocean Beach, retro outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and a weapon pattern. Digital pre-orders also get a free month of GTA+. The Ultimate Edition adds premium vehicles, weapons and apparel woven through the story; it is digital-only, while the boxed Standard Edition holds a download code rather than a disc.
