Rockstar has not confirmed crossplay for GTA 6. GTA Online on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S has never supported cross-platform play between the two consoles, and Rockstar has not announced any GTA 6 online mode at all, let alone a crossplay policy for one. Its pre-order materials describe Grand Theft Auto VI as a "single-player experience".

The current GTA Online architecture keeps PlayStation and Xbox players in completely separate matchmaking pools. A character created on PS5 cannot transfer to Xbox Series X|S or vice versa. There is no shared friends list across the platform boundary.
Industry pressure has shifted in the last few years (Fortnite, Call of Duty, Apex Legends all support full crossplay), so it is reasonable to ask whether Rockstar would adopt the same model if it ever announces an online mode for GTA 6. But until the Rockstar Newswire posts a statement, treat both a GTA 6 online mode and crossplay for it as not confirmed.
