Harboring a Grudge is a mission in given to protagonist Niko Bellic by Irish gangster Patrick McReary from his mother's house in Meadows Park, Dukes, Liberty City.
This mission serves as a subtle tie-in and foreshadowing to , with one of the three major Triad gangs making a cameo appearance.
During the initial cutscene, Niko is introduced to Packie's mother and younger sister, Maureen McReary and Kate McReary respectively. After a quarrel with his mother regarding his crude language, Packie sets off with Niko, revealing that they need to "take care of some business" out at the docks in Algonquin. A slew of illegal meds are being smuggled into the country from the east by the Triads, and Packie wants to steal the truckload of drugs while it's being conveyed. He reveals that Ray Boccino asked him to steal the meds and deliver them to his lockup in Westminster and, although Packie is mistrustful of him, he believes it's worth the money.
