The BeeJay XL appears to be primarily based on the Toyota FJ Cruiser, but with a flatter, less aggressive appearance along with standard second-row doors instead of suicide doors. The greenhouse area, especially the C and D pillars, and elements of the rear trunk are seemingly derived from the fourth generation Toyota 4Runner, while the rear plate holder is similar to that of the Toyota Land Cruiser (J100). Overall, the BeeJay, as a whole, might have been inspired by the 2007 Toyota FJ Runner SEMA concept by MV Designz, which utilized the FJ Cruiser front and other elements on the 4Runner body, as evidenced by the similar rear bumper and rear fascia. The grille, mirrors, and vent on the hood are likely taken from the Hummer H3, while the wheels appear to be a mix between Hummer H2/H3 and KMC XD Series Rockstar wheels, albeit the latter with a seven-spoke configuration.
