The Rapid GT's design strongly resembles the 2005 Aston Martin V8 Vantage coupé in the rear and main body of the car, and the Ferrari California, as seen in the exhaust arrangement and the diffuser. The crease along the headlights also seems to be taken from the California, while the headlights seem to be based on the Porsche Carrera GT. The side vent position and shape may have been influenced by either the Mazda RX-8 or the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, but the top of the vent follows a line similar to the Vantage's. The rear plate holder is similar to the Aston Martin Rapide.
