The Rat-Loader appears to be based on the 1946–1947 Dodge WC 1⁄2-ton truck, but with the front fascia heavily inspired by 1930s GMC/Chevrolet 1⁄2-ton trucks. The front fenders and grille are reminiscent of the ones found on the Dodge T-234 or the 1946 Dodge Power Wagon.
