Port Gellhorn made a significant appearance in the September 2022 GTA VI leaks, which included multiple clips showing large portions of its commercial and industrial districts, terrain, and a top-down view of the Gellhorn International Raceway. In one particular leaked clip, a debug menu listing world events reveals other unseen points of interest in Port Gellhorn, including a police station, train station, trailer park, soccer field, basketball court, and more.

The city officially debuted in the game's first trailer, showcasing two points of interest previously mentioned in the world events list from the September 2022 leaks: a pawn shop, and a liquor store.

Port Gellhorn reappeared toward the end of the second trailer, offering another glimpse of its landmarks, including the Crossroad Park Minimall and the Bocamar Bridge.

Additional official screenshots and a postcard featured in a dedicated section for Port Gellhorn on the game's promotional website further highlight points of interest such as the Delights strip club and the city's seaport area.
