Lance Vance and Tommy back up Ricardo Diaz's deal in Washington Mall as a mystery crew opens fire. Tommy rides shotgun in a hail of bullets, protecting Diaz and his money.
Guardian Angels is a mission in given to protagonist Tommy Vercetti by retired army colonel Juan Cortez from his yacht docked in Ocean Bay Marina in Washington Beach, Vice City.
Cortez's good friend Ricardo Diaz has a deal to close with the Cubans, but he could use some extra security and wants Tommy to protect him. Cortez has set up some special firepower for the meeting in the Washington Beach multi-story car park.
Tommy drives to the multi-story car park in Ocean Beach and grabs the Ruger set up there. Seconds later, Lance Vance arrives, whom Tommy tells to come along. Tommy drives them to the meet in an alley in Ocean Beach. Upon arriving, Ricardo Diaz and his bodyguards will arrive as well, and Ricardo tells Tommy to get a good vantage point.
Tommy and Lance each take a set of nearby stairs up to a platform and wait for the Cubans to arrive. The deal can then proceed, but it is soon interrupted by Haitians. Several cars arrive in succession, two Voodoos, a Burrito, another Voodoo, and finally another Burrito. Tommy has to protect the men by killing the Haitians. If Tommy does not take out the Haitian attackers quickly enough, one may occasionally flank Lance, at which point Tommy needs to help him.
After all the initial Haitians are killed, two last Haitians will appear riding Sanchezes; they will take Diaz's money, but one of them will get killed by Lance. Tommy has to get on the dead attacker's bike and chase the remaining Haitian through the alleyways. After a while, the fleeing rider exits the alleyways and proceeds down the streets, at which point his path becomes random. Tommy has to kill the Haitian and make sure to not explode the bike while he is riding it, as this will destroy the money and fail the mission.
Once he is killed, the briefcase with Diaz's money has to be collected and taken back to Diaz. He thanks Tommy and tells him he will see him soon, after which the mission is completed.
