The weapon's name on the HUD has changed various times as it recurred through the series: *In GTA III, the submachine gun is named Uzi. *In GTA Vice City, the submachine gun is named Uz-1. *In GTA Advance, the submachine gun is named Uz-I. *In GTA San Andreas, GTA Liberty City Stories and GTA Vice City Stories, the submachine gun is named Micro SMG.
Across the 3D Universe, the Micro SMG is always the cheapest and most traditional submachine gun of every game, as opposed to the more contemporary and expensive SMG, as well as being a common sight in the hands of many gangs in the later missions throughout the games.
