The Karin Sultan RS is a rally sports car featured in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the January 2016 Update.
The Sultan RS itself is based on the first generation Lexus IS (also known as the Toyota Altezza), with a few minor influences drawn from a range of second generation Subaru Imprezas (notably the Impreza 2.5RS). Although neither the Lexus IS nor second generation Subaru Impreza received a two-door coupé configuration, its influence remains obvious in the Sultan RS. The front and the overall shape of the car closely resembles that of a 2001 Lexus IS with a body kit and side exhaust system. The massive rear spoiler is usually a stock feature on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and Subaru Impreza WRX STI models. The rear of the car is highly reminiscent of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V, including said spoiler.
The Sultan RS is a high-performance two-door coupé variant of the Sultan. The letters RS stand for Rally Sport, which usually designates that the car is a highly-tuned, rally-sports version of the stock model. The car comes with a carbon-fibre bonnet, roll cage, side exit large-bore exhaust, front-mounted intercooler, rear diffuser, racing wheels, and low-profile tyres. Some variants also have a carbon fibre boot lid, bonnet scoop, and metallic paint. By default, it has an exposed intercooler manufactured by Endo.
The is usually set to spawn with a primary colour on the body, with the side stripes painted by the secondary colour, and the roof, boot and spoiler in a tertiary colour, usually resulting in a single-tone variation with stripes or a two-tone variation with stripes, with the exception of a single colour set that gives it a full-black colour with no stripes. Its wheels always have a black colour.
The vehicle is equipped with a GPS system with a female voice, but only if the player leaves the "selected cars" (default) option in the audio menu.
The Sultan RS returns in the enhanced version of Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the January 2016 Update, as an optional modification for the Sultan in Benny's Original Motor Works. It holds the same design as in Grand Theft Auto IV, albeit with some cosmetic changes (notably the bumpers and the grille) and a few omissions, which can be fitted in Benny's Original Motor Works.
Its colour distribution seemed to be changed over the GTA IV iteration. The primary one is set to the bodywork and interior stitching, while the secondary one is applied on the bonnet, roof and boot. A trim colour is also present for part of the door panels and seats, along with a dial colour. The stock wheels retained the same rim design as before, which are identical to the "Gruppe Z" tuner rims available at Los Santos Customs.
The vehicle has access to a variety of tuning modifications, as well as unique liveries and vinyls, which also allows the player to recreate the GTA IV iteration.
