Depictions of the Washington in GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas, and GTA: Vice City Stories are primarily based on the 1982–1987 Lincoln Continental, with heavy influence taken from the Lincoln Continental Mark VII, particularly evident in the rear and C-pillar design. The trunk does not feature the characteristic "hump" found on the Mark VII, which may have been inspired by the 1981–1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, while the configuration of the headlights could have been influenced by the Jeep Cherokee (XJ).
In the HD Universe, the Washington is primarily based on the 1998–2002 Lincoln Town Car, with its taillights being derived from the 2003–2011 Town Car models. It features "Executive" badging, akin to the Executive Series trimmed Town Cars, and its wheels are also very similar to those found on 1998–2002 Executive Series Town Cars. The shape of the headlights appears to draw inspiration from the 2006 Lincoln Zephyr/MKZ, while the indicators and grille may have been influenced by the Volkswagen Phaeton (GP1). The rear design, especially the shape of the taillights, the smooth bumper, and the quad exhaust configuration, seems to be primarily derived from the 2000–2005 Cadillac DeVille, while the single front intake is similar to the 1992–1994 Cadillac Eldorado. Additionally, the rear plate holder is shaped similarly to that of the second-generation Ford Crown Victoria.
