GTA San Andreas Cheat Codes: PC, PlayStation, Xbox

GTA San Andreas cheat codes work the same way they did at launch in 2004: type a word on PC or tap a button combo on console, and the effect fires instantly. The PC version reads typed text codes like HESOYAM and ROCKETMAN, while the PS2, PS3 and original Xbox ports use D-pad and face-button sequences. This guide lists the canonical codes by platform for weapons, health, money, vehicles, weather, wanted level and pedestrian chaos, and it spells out exactly what each one breaks.

How GTA San Andreas cheats work

There is no cheat menu in San Andreas. You enter codes during normal gameplay, not while paused and not during a cutscene. On PC you simply start typing the letters with the keyboard. On PS2, PS3 and Xbox you enter the button sequence on the controller using the D-pad, not the analog stick. A correct entry pops a small "Cheat activated" message in the corner of the screen.

Most San Andreas cheats are toggles. Type the same PC code again (or re-enter the button combo) to switch the effect back off. Vehicle spawns are one-shot: the car, jet or tank simply appears next to CJ. Weather and pedestrian cheats stay active until you turn them off or reload a save.

Health, armor and money cheats

The single most useful San Andreas cheat is the all-in-one survival code. On PC it tops up health, armor and cash in one stroke.

• HESOYAM (PC) gives full health, full armor and $250,000. Inside a vehicle it also repairs the car to perfect condition. The PlayStation equivalent is R1, R2, L1, X, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up.
• BAGUVIX (PC) grants semi-infinite health: you are protected from bullets and melee, but you can still die from explosions, falling, drowning or being run over.

There is no standalone "armor only" or "money only" cheat in San Andreas. HESOYAM bundles all three, which is why it is the code most players memorize first.

Weapon cheats: the three weapon sets

San Andreas hands out weapons in three preset bundles rather than one "all weapons" code. The PC text codes are:

• LXGIWYL loads Weapon Set 1: Brass Knuckles, Baseball Bat, Pistol, Shotgun, Micro SMG, AK-47, Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Molotov Cocktail and Spray Can.
• PROFESSIONALSKIT loads Weapon Set 2: Knife, Desert Eagle, Sawn-Off Shotgun, Tec-9, M4, Sniper Rifle, Flamethrower, Grenades and Fire Extinguisher.
• UZUMYMW loads Weapon Set 3: Chainsaw, Silenced Pistol, Combat Shotgun (SPAS-12), SMG, M4, Heat-Seeking Rocket Launcher and Satchel Charges.

Pair any weapon set with STINGLIKEABEE for a super punch that sends pedestrians flying with a single hit. On PlayStation the super punch combo is Up, Left, X, Triangle, R1, Circle, Circle, Circle, L2.

Vehicle cheats: Jetpack, Hydra, Rhino and Bloodring Banger

San Andreas is the game that introduced the jetpack to the series, and the spawn cheats remain fan favorites.

• ROCKETMAN (PC) spawns the Jetpack. PlayStation: L1, L2, R1, R2, Up, Down, Left, Right, L1, L2, R1, R2, Up, Down, Left, Right.
• JUMPJET (PC) spawns the Hydra fighter jet. PlayStation: Triangle, Triangle, Square, Circle, X, L1, L1, Down, Up.
• AIWPRTON (PC) spawns the Rhino tank. PlayStation: Circle, Circle, L1, Circle, Circle, Circle, L1, L2, R1, Triangle, Circle, Triangle.
• OLDSPEEDDEMON (PC) spawns the Bloodring Banger, the dented stock-car racer. There is no separate console combo widely documented for this one, so PC players get the cleanest access.

On PS3 versions of the Definitive re-releases, swap L1 with L2 and R1 with R2 when entering these combos. The face-button mapping carries over to Xbox as X→A, Circle→B, Square→X and Triangle→Y.

Weather and time cheats

San Andreas lets you rewrite the sky on command, which is handy for screenshots across San Fierro, Las Venturas and the countryside.

• PLEASANTLYWARM (PC) sets sunny weather. PlayStation: R2, X, L1, L1, L2, L2, L2, Square.
• AUIFRVQS (PC) brings rain.
• CFVFGMJ (PC) drops a heavy fog.
• CWJXUOC (PC) kicks up a desert sandstorm, ideal over the Las Venturas dunes.
• SLOWITDOWN (PC) slows down time, and SPEEDITUP speeds the whole game up.

Wanted level and pedestrian cheats

These codes control how much heat CJ draws and how the streets behave around him.

• AEZAKMI (PC) locks the wanted level, so stars never appear no matter what you do. PlayStation: Circle, Right, Circle, Right, Left, Square, Triangle, Up.
• TURNDOWNTHEHEAT (PC) instantly clears your current wanted stars.
• BRINGITON (PC) jumps you to a six-star wanted level. PlayStation: Circle, Right, Circle, Right, Left, Square, X, Down.
• AJLOJYQY (PC) makes pedestrians riot and attack each other.
• BGLUAWML (PC) makes armed pedestrians attack you (the PlayStation chaos combo is X, L1, Up, Square, Down, X, L2, Triangle, Down, R1, L1, L1).
• FOOOXFT (PC) arms every pedestrian in the city.
• AIYPWZQP (PC) hands CJ a parachute, useful right after a Jetpack drop.

What San Andreas cheats break

Cheats are fun, but they come with real consequences in San Andreas, and the warnings are not just folklore.

• Achievements and trophies turn off. In the modern Definitive Edition re-releases, activating any cheat disables achievement and trophy progress for that session. The game flashes a "you won't get achievements" style warning before the effect lands.
• Some cheats can break missions. A few codes (spawn and behavior cheats especially) can leave you unable to start or finish specific story missions, which stalls 100% completion.
• Saving with cheats active is risky. On the original PS2 build, saving while cheats were running could produce odd side effects and, in some cases, corrupt the slot. The safe habit is to save to a fresh slot before experimenting, then keep your main playthrough cheat-free.
• Stat changes can stick. Some cheats adjust CJ's stats or the world state in ways that persist after you toggle them off, so a clean save is your insurance.
