GTA 6 has approximately 26 named characters confirmed through trailers, Newswire screenshots, and the official press kit. Below: the encyclopedic list — every confirmed character, what we know about them, and where they appear in marketing.
Protagonists
Lucia Caminos
The first female mainline GTA protagonist. Latina heritage. Introduced in prison; partnered with Jason. Voiced — actor not yet confirmed publicly. Bonnie-and-Clyde framing.
Jason Duval
Former military operator with debts. Romantic partner to Lucia. Visual contrast — close-cropped hair, gray-blue palette. Voiced — actor not confirmed.
Music industry / nightlife
Boobie Ike
Owner of the Jack of Hearts strip club in Vice Beach. Recurring character across Trailer 1 and Trailer 2. Major mid-game presence. Real-name actor not confirmed but the press-kit shots establish the character clearly.
Dre'Quan Priest
Hip-hop artist. Trailer 2 confirmed. Likely runs music industry contacts.
Roxy
Half of the Real Dimez rap duo. Trailer 1 / 2 confirmed. The Real Dimez perform in-world.
Bae-Luxe
Other half of Real Dimez. Same confirmation. With Roxy, the duo represents the Vice Beach hip-hop scene.
Conspiracy / counterculture
Cal Hampton
Conspiracy theorist character. Trailer 2 introduced. Likely runs missions involving paranoid government/UFO content.
Vice Beach / business owners
Brian Heder
Owner of Boat Works & Marina in the Leonida Keys. Recurring confirmed character. Likely a contract employer for boating-related missions.
Lori Heder
Brian Heder's wife, recurring background character.
Phil Cassidy
Returning character from Vice City / Vice City Stories / San Andreas. Now older; runs an Ammu-Nation-adjacent business in Vice City.
Bank robber / accomplice
Raul Bautista
Bank robber character. Likely involved in the heist sequences. Trailer 2 visible.
Working-class
Wyman
Mechanic character. Likely runs vehicle-related contract missions.
Stefanie
Correctional social worker — possibly Lucia's prison-arc contact. Press-kit screenshots establish her in the prison setting.
Mayoral / political
Erin Henshaw
Mayoral candidate. Political subplot character; likely involved in third-act political-intrigue arcs.
Trailer-confirmed background named characters
The press-kit screenshots and Newswire posts establish several other named characters:
- Ric — minor recurring figure
- High Rollerz Mag staff — an in-world publication referenced multiple times
- Various unnamed but recognisable faces — bystanders that may be revealed as named in later marketing
Lapsed leak names (context only)
Several characters were named in the 2022 leak but haven't been formally confirmed by Rockstar marketing. We've removed these from our database where they have no Fandom evidence:
- DWNPLY (referenced as a rapper)
- Shanese, YJ, Danny, Billy, Tit, etc. (leak-era fan names)
These characters may be real but Rockstar has not formally confirmed them, so they don't appear in this encyclopedia.
Recurring 3D / HD universe characters
Beyond Phil Cassidy, no confirmed cross-game cameos have been formally announced. Speculation includes:
- Tommy Vercetti — would be 84 in 2026; unlikely cameo
- Vance brothers — both canonically dead in 1986
- Ricardo Diaz — dead in 1986
- Ken Rosenberg — possible cameo; alive in HD-Universe canon
None of these are confirmed.

What we don't know
- Voice actors for any character
- Specific role mechanics (which characters give missions, which are story-only)
- Cross-game cameos beyond Phil Cassidy
- Whether the leak-era characters (DWNPLY, Shanese, etc.) are canonically real
What's likely from leaked QA notes
The 2022 leak referenced an additional 30-40 characters in development materials. Some are likely real but not yet promotional. Rockstar will announce more named characters in the lead-up to the November 2026 launch.
