The Peyote resembles a 1st Gen Ford Thunderbird, as evidenced by its overall design and its interior. It features a double-stacked tail and headlights instead of single ones, as well as a more streamlined side and no hood scoop. The front has a similar look to the 1955 models, while the rear resembles the 1956 models, especially if equipped with the continental kit. The grille seems to be taken from the Ford Cortina Mark I. The bonnet follows the 1955 Ford models, however, with the chrome trim in the middle. The double-stacked headlights resemble the 1957 Lincoln Premiere with some influence from the 1965–1968 Cadillac de Ville. The front bumper bears some resemblance to the 1960 Premiere models. The tail lights have a similar appearance to the tail light design found on the 1960 Cadillacs, while the trim on the boot may have been influenced by the 1959 Chevrolet models.
