GTA 5 Vinewood: Landmarks and Celebrity Map
A quick GTA 5 Vinewood tour: the Vinewood sign on Mount Haan, the Walk of Fame, the Galileo Observatory, and the Hollywood landmarks worth a visit.

GTA 5 Vinewood is Rockstar's satirical version of Hollywood, a glitzy hillside district packed with the Vinewood sign, a star-studded boulevard, and some of the best viewpoints in Los Santos. This is a quick tour of the GTA 5 landmarks worth driving (or flying) to. Each one is a near-direct parody of a real Los Angeles attraction.
The Vinewood sign
The headline landmark sits at the summit of Mount Haan in Vinewood Hills, north of the city. It is a direct parody of the Hollywood sign, swapping one letter to fit the in-game brand. Mount Haan is itself based on Mount Lee in the Santa Monica Mountains.
A few things worth knowing if you climb up there:
- Each letter has a ladder on its side leading to a small platform behind the board.
- A Letter Scrap collectible sits on top of the "I", reachable by climbing the ladder.
- The view is best from a helicopter or small plane, which you can grab fast with a vehicle spawn cheat.
Vinewood Boulevard and the Walk of Fame
Vinewood Boulevard is the district's main strip, modeled on Hollywood Boulevard and the Sunset Strip. Embedded in the pavement is the Vinewood Walk of Fame, a copy of the Hollywood Walk of Fame with 326 star tiles set into the sidewalk, many of them carrying the names of fictional GTA celebrities. You will spot names from across the series, including radio host Lazlow Jones and rapper OG Loc.
Two cinemas anchor the strip:
- The Oriental Theater, based on Grauman's Chinese Theatre (now the TCL Chinese Theatre).
- Surrounding nightlife and museums that riff on real Boulevard fixtures.
Galileo Observatory and the high viewpoints
For the best panorama of Los Santos, head to the Galileo Observatory in Galileo Park. It is a clear parody of the Griffith Observatory, sitting on one of the highest points in Vinewood Hills with a sweeping view across the city. A concrete sculpture out front copies the real Astronomers Monument that stands at Griffith.
Nearby in the hills you will find the Vinewood Bowl, an open-air amphitheater carved into the hillside and based on the Hollywood Bowl. The name refers to the concave "bowl" shape of the slope, just like its real-world counterpart.
Star homes and the celebrity map
The winding roads of Vinewood Hills are lined with mansions standing in for Beverly Hills and the Hollywood Hills celebrity estates. The most famous of these in the story is Michael De Santa's house on Portola Drive, in the upscale Rockford Hills area just below the hills proper. Cruising these streets is the closest GTA 5 gets to a star-home bus tour, and the elevation makes for great screenshots. If you want to plan a route, the GTA 5 hub collects more locations and guides.

A tight loop to see the highlights in one drive:

Bring a helicopter for the final stretch if you want the postcard angle on the sign. You can browse more captured spots in the GTA 5 screenshots gallery.
