The Thursday reset kicked off Brand Wars, a two-week event that splits Los Santos into rival soda camps, Team Sprunk and Team eCola, and hangs a stack of rewards on the rivalry. There is a free car just for logging in, 4X money on races, up to GTA$2 million in Twitch Drops, and, for the first time ever, a standalone weekend bonus. The free car
Log into GTA Online any time before August 26 and you get a free Declasse Hotring Sabre, painted in a green-and-red Sprunk x eCola livery with branded plates. No challenge, no purchase, just show up.
This week's money makers
The bonuses are pointed at the track and the open world:
- 4X GTA$ and RP on Hotring Races at the Legion Square Featured Series corona, through August 26.
- 4X GTA$ and RP on Freemode Challenges and Events, so open-world ambushes and shootouts pay quadruple too, also through August 26.
Up to GTA$2 million in Twitch Drops
This is the big earner if you are patient. Link your Rockstar and Twitch accounts, then watch participating Team Sprunk and Team eCola streamers between August 13 and 26. Doing so unlocks the Sprunk Sweatsuit or the eCola Tracksuit plus up to GTA$2,000,000 total. A first: the standalone weekend bonus
The genuinely new wrinkle this fortnight is a standalone weekend bonus, something Rockstar has not done before. From August 21 to 23, VIP Work pays 5X GTA$ and RP, a bonus that lands and expires entirely within the weekend rather than the usual Thursday-to-Thursday window.
