How to Get the Panther Statue in GTA Online: The $2 Million Cayo Perico Target Is Back
The Panther Statue is the single most valuable target in the Cayo Perico Heist, worth $2,090,000 on Hard, and it is back for GTA Online's Summer Heist Event. Here is how to guarantee you get it, and how to max the payout.

The Panther Statue is the single most valuable primary target in the Cayo Perico Heist, and it does not show up most of the year. It is hardcoded off by default and only returns during special event windows, which is exactly what is happening now: the statue is back as part of GTA Online's Summer Heist Event. Here is what it is worth, how to guarantee you scope it as your target, and how to squeeze the most cash out of the run.
What the Panther Statue is worth
The Panther Statue is the top-tier primary target in Cayo Perico, well above the regular Tequila, Ruby Necklace, Bearer Bonds, or Pink Diamond. Its value scales with difficulty:
- Hard mode: GTA$2,090,000. This is the maximum primary value in the entire heist.
- Normal mode: GTA$1,900,000. Hard mode is simply Normal plus a 10% bump on the primary target.
That is just the primary. Stack the secondary loot you grab on the way out (gold, cocaine, weed, cash, painting) and a single well-run heist can push toward GTA$4 million or more with a full crew. During this event the Cayo Perico finale also pays double from August 6 to 12, which makes a Panther Statue run the most profitable Cayo trip of the year.
When you can get it
The Panther Statue is only available during active event weeks, and it is live now as part of the Summer Heist Event. The catch worth knowing: it appears once per event week. If you already had a Cayo Perico Heist set up before the weekly reset, you have to finish or replace that one before the statue will show up on your next scope-out.
How to guarantee you get it
During the event, the Panther Statue is guaranteed as your primary target on your first Cayo Perico Heist of the week. You do not have to reroll for it. Here is the clean run:
- Clear any in-progress heist. If you set up Cayo before the reset, complete it or replace it so the event target pool applies.
- Start a fresh Cayo Perico Heist at the planning board with Pavel.
- Fly out and do the Gather Intel scope-out, then photograph the primary target in El Rubio's compound. On this first run of the week it will be the Panther Statue.
- Set the finale to Hard mode for the full GTA$2,090,000 (that value already includes Hard mode's 10% bump on the primary target).
One catch: the guarantee only applies to your first run of the event week. Once you have taken the statue, its spawn rate drops to roughly 10% per run, so treat that first run as the big payday and plan around it.
How to max the payout
- Grab secondary loot on the way in and out. Even solo, filling your bag with gold and other loot adds hundreds of thousands on top of the statue.
- Run it solo for the biggest personal cut, or bring a crew to move more secondary loot in one trip. Our Cayo Perico solo runner guide covers the fastest clean solo route.
- Time it to the double-money window (August 6 to 12) so the finale pays twice.
The bottom line
The Panther Statue is a limited-window, GTA$2,090,000 target that only appears during events like this one. Clear any old setup, start fresh, re-scope until you see the statue, run the finale on Hard, and pack your bag with secondary loot. Do it during the double-money window and it is comfortably the best single payday in GTA Online right now. For where it fits in the current money meta, see our 2026 payout rebalance breakdown.
