GTA Online's Summer Heist Event Is Live: Two Weeks of Double Payouts, a Free GTA$1 Million, and the Panther Statue's Return

Rockstar has kicked off the Summer Heist Event, a two-week GTA Online celebration running July 30 to August 12. Week one doubles the classic heist finales, week two brings back the Panther Statue to Cayo Perico, and there is a free GTA$1,000,000 up for grabs. Here is how to plan the perfect getaway.

Rockstar has officially launched the Summer Heist Event in GTA Online, and it is a big one. Framed as an invitation to "plan the perfect getaway," it is a two-week celebration of the heist that runs from July 30 to August 12, 2026, with the action split between the classic scores of Southern San Andreas and the sun-soaked vault of Cayo Perico. Double payouts, steep discounts, and a free million dollars are all on the table. Here is how the two weeks break down and how to squeeze the most cash out of them.

Week one (July 30 to August 5): the original heists

The event opens by rewarding the heists that started it all. For the first week:

2X GTA$ on the first weekly completion of The Fleeca Job finale.
2X GTA$ on the first weekly completion of The Pacific Standard Job finale.
2X GTA$ and RP on Motor Wars.
2X GTA$ and RP on Shipwrecks.

Week two (August 6 to August 12): the Panther Statue returns

This is the headline. Starting August 6, the Panther Statue returns to El Rubio's vault as a primary target in the Cayo Perico Heist. The statue is the rarest and most valuable score in the whole heist, and when it is in the vault the full run can pay out up to around GTA$4.19 million with a full crew, making it one of the biggest single paydays available in the game.

On top of that, Rockstar is running 2X GTA$ and RP on the Cayo Perico Heist finale from August 6 to August 12. A doubled finale during a Panther Statue window is about as lucrative as GTA Online gets, so if you only grind one week of this event, make it this one.

A free GTA$1,000,000 and seasonal rewards

Rockstar is also handing out a free GTA$1,000,000 as a login bonus during the event, alongside a set of seasonal accessories for simply playing across the two weeks. It is free money for showing up, so log in even on the days you are not grinding.

Discounts worth the garage space

The two weeks reward two different playstyles. Week one is for heist purists: run your first Fleeca and Pacific Standard finales for the doubled first-completion bonus and clean up on Motor Wars and Shipwrecks. Week two is where the serious money is: the Panther Statue plus a 2X Cayo Perico finale is the most profitable stretch of the summer, and it is fully solo-friendly.
