How to Make Money in GTA San Andreas
San Andreas does not hand you cash, but a few reliable methods keep CJ funded for property, mods and gambling. Here are the best ways to make money, from asset properties to the casino heist payoff.

San Andreas is stingier with cash than later GTAs, and the things you want (properties, car mods, casino chips, all 29 safehouses) add up fast. Here are the most reliable ways to keep CJ funded, roughly in order of value.
Collectibles (the biggest one-time payouts)
The fastest large sums come from collectibles. Clearing the 50 Horseshoes in Las Venturas pays $100,000 outright, and the 50 Snapshots in San Fierro carry a big completion bonus on top of $100 per photo. These also hand you free weapons and stat boosts, so they are the best return on time in the game.
Asset properties (steady income)
Buy and complete the income properties and they pay you passively. Zero RC Shop and Wang Cars in San Fierro each start a mission strand that, once finished, deposits revenue you collect by visiting. The Vank Hoff Hotel comes free after the Valet missions and pays out too. None are huge individually, but together they cover running costs for the rest of the game.
Side missions (early and reliable)
Vehicle side jobs pay per level and are available from the start. Taxi fares, Paramedic, Firefighter and Vigilante runs all pay cash while also unlocking permanent bonuses (more on those in our side-mission guide). Pimping in a Broadway lowrider is one of the better earners once your girls start paying out. Robbing houses during the late-night Burglary missions in a Boxville van is slow but repeatable.
The casino heist payoff
The Caligula's Palace heist arc in Las Venturas culminates in the single largest scripted payday in the story. It is gated behind that mission strand, but once you complete the finale, the take dwarfs anything else in the campaign.
Gambling (high risk, do it right)
Las Venturas casinos let you gamble, but only do it after you have maxed your Luck stat by collecting all 50 horseshoes, which meaningfully tilts the odds. Even then, treat it as a money sink to enjoy rather than a reliable income source, and save before a big session.
The smart sequence
Front-load the horseshoes and snapshots for the big lump sums, buy the income assets so money trickles in passively, run side missions early for cash plus permanent bonuses, and save the casino for after you have maxed Luck. Do that and you will never be short for property, mods or chips.
