For GTA 6, Rockstar has confirmed a couple of specific homes and garages while staying quiet on the bigger question of whether you can buy real estate at all. Here is the honest state of play.
The confirmed safehouses
Two safehouses have been established so far, and both come from the story rather than a shop menu:
- The Starlet Motel, associated with Lucia.
- A property owned by Brian Heder, where Jason stays. Rockstar's own character bio explains the arrangement: Jason lives there rent free in exchange for doing shakedowns and dirty work for the veteran smuggler.
That second one matters because it makes your home a story obligation rather than a purchase. Jason's housing situation is leverage someone else holds over him, which is a much more interesting starting point than a marker on a map.
Two named garages, both tied to editions
Vehicle storage has surfaced through the preorder packages rather than gameplay reveals. Two garages have been named:
- Shore Court Garage in Ocean Beach, listed as a preorder bonus.
- Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, linked to the Ultimate Edition.

Can you buy property? Not confirmed
Here is the part to be careful about. Rockstar has not confirmed a property-buying system in GTA 6. There is no official word on purchasing apartments, houses, mansions, businesses, warehouses, or multiple safehouses in story mode. Any list claiming to be a definitive lineup of buyable GTA 6 real estate is speculation.
What is fair to say is that the series precedent is overwhelming. Every mainline GTA since Vice City has let you buy something, and GTA 6's deeper money and fence economy would pair naturally with places to park that cash. Likely, but not confirmed.
A hint at upkeep
One small breadcrumb: Trailer 2 showed Jason fixing his roof. On its own that is a character beat, but alongside GTA 6's heavy emphasis on lifestyle systems, from working out and eating to grooming and clothing, it hints at properties you maintain rather than just own. Treat it as a hint, not a mechanic.
