Cayo Perico, Auto Shop, Acid Lab, special-cargo crates — the canonical 2026 GTA$ grinder playbook, with hourly rates and cycle times.

Las Venturas-style luxury at the heart of Vinewood — the Diamond Casino is GTA Online's flagship property, the host of the most-replayed heist, and the source of premium cosmetics.

PS5 & Xbox Series X|S launch — PC delayed beyond. Stay current with our daily intel.
From the Pacific Standard Job to the Cayo Perico Heist to the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid — every Grand Theft Auto Online heist, listed in release order with payout.
GTA Online has accumulated 20+ purchasable businesses across twelve years of updates. Some are 2013-vintage and now obsolete; others are 2024-vintage and remain meta. In 2026 the business catalog has settled into a stable hierarchy of what's worth owning for grinding GTA$. Below: the 2026 buyer's guide.
The single best business in 2026. Acid Lab production runs in the background while you do other content, and a full sell pays out roughly $385K per mission. Buy this first.
Solid second purchase. Auto Shop runs a steady contract income (~$200K per contract, plus customer-vehicle delivery missions). Pairs well with the Cayo Perico Heist for grinder loops.
The highest-payout-per-hour activity in GTA Online. Solo-runnable, the heist takes ~2 hours per cycle and pays ~$1.5M-4M per run. Run this first; everything else is supplementary income.
The passive-income flagship. Nightclub generates GTA$ over time across multiple "warehouse goods" types. The income scales with business links — owning Acid Lab + Auto Shop + Bunker + MC clubhouses + CEO office boosts the Nightclub's passive income substantially.
Buy after at least 2-3 other businesses are established to maximise Nightclub linking.
Weapons-manufacturing business. Solid income (~$1.05M per full sell), tied to gunrunning. Less efficient than Acid Lab but a reliable second-tier business.
Required to do special cargo missions and manage the broader CEO portfolio. Buy this for the special cargo crates mechanic and to enable the Hangar / Bunker / Nightclub linking.
Smuggling business at LSIA or Sandy Shores airfield. Special cargo air-crates to source and sell. Reliable income.
The MC clubhouse unlocks 5 sub-businesses (Bikers' Bar, Document Forgery, Counterfeit Cash, Methamphetamine, Cocaine Lockup). Each business is moderately profitable; running all 5 simultaneously is a setup-heavy but rewarding playstyle.
Salvage Yard runs daily contract missions to acquire specific vehicles. The contracts give a steady $2-3M per week if you're consistent. Less active than Acid Lab but reliable.
The Agency is The Contract heist's HQ — running it gives access to Franklin's mission lines and steady passive income. Worth owning for completionism even if it's not the most profitable.
Source-and-sell warehouses. Profit-per-time is okay but vastly less than Cayo Perico. Worth owning for completion / variety but not for grinding.
The Diamond Casino Heist's HQ. Owns the Master Control Terminal, which lets you launch other heists from within the Arcade. Useful as a meta-business but the Arcade's direct income (the arcade games) is minimal.
Various smaller mechanic businesses. Niche.
If you're starting fresh in 2026:
Total starting investment: ~$10-13M. Returns this in ~30-40 hours of focused play.
A few businesses that were strong but aren't worth the buy in 2026:
The 2026 GTA Online meta favors multi-business linking — owning multiple businesses that boost each other's passive income. The Nightclub is the central hub that ties the rest together.
